Be sure and check out what the rest of the Rose's came up with. You can find their links on my side bar!

Good Morning! So happy to be here.... I've really missed visiting with everyone! DH is doing GREAT! Thanks to all your prayers! He is a stellar patient! No complaining... he pushes himself so he will get better quicker. I made this card for the wonderful folks at Dave Smith Motors. Bob is their security manager. Since his surgery he has to ride in the back seat of a car. I drive a VW bug and he has a buick. Both very low to the ground. It's very difficult to get him in and out of the cars sooo..... Dave Smith's sent a Durango out with a full tank of gas to run Bob to his appointments! How great is that and such a blessing! My card needed to be masculine since 90% of the employees at Dave Smith's are male! My card base is early espresso layered with very vanilla and blueberry crisp dp. The focal image is engraved etchings. So fun to be back in my craft room.... hope to stamp all weekend! Have a wonderful day my friends and thanks again for all your prayers!

I have a card for the OLW 31 challenge today. We are to go back to our roots.... what got us hooked when we first started stamping. It's all my sister Terri's fault. I was at her house and mentioned I needed a BD card for a gdaughter. My first card was a pretty simple one and the minute I put that inky stamp to paper I was hooked. I still love the feeling you get when you combine a little ink and paper and create a something that will bring someone such joy! My card today was created with Artful INKables peaceful wishes and Su's heard from the heart. I love this graceful reindeer... so regal! Don't forget about the big blog hop and challenge at Joan's Gardens tomorrow. There is a huge prize donated by Heartfelt Creations worth $284. Have a super great day.... off to plow snow!

It's the last Sunday of the month and it's also my first post as a Rose!I feel so blessed to be part of such a wonderful group of women! Connie Rose wants us to make a book mark. No other requirements... simply make a bookmark. I've created mine with a friend in mind. She turns 50 this year and is an avid reader. She also works in my shop as the nail tech. these resemble her little friends or not, it just made me think of
her! So pop over and wish Mary Anne a very Happy Birthday!

We have -10 with the wind chill this morning BRRRRR! Now it's supposed to warm up. Sure glad we got the snow before the cold, that will save my flowers!
My card today is a bit lumpy- this one will cost extra to mail LOL! No actually the ornament will lay just about flat! This is another card created with the left overs from our stamp - a-stack. Same design as an earlier card except I added an early espresso layer. Well that's it for today.... off to work I go!
Tuesday, November 23, 2010
I have to tell you the inspiration for this card came off of the tv! We were watching Law and Order and there was a picture on the wall behind Bobby... thus this card was born! I think it fits into the challenge at Joan's Gardens.
1. Create a Thanks giving card
2. Use something Fallish such as Leaves, Pumpkins or Indian Corn (if you don't have a stamp use a leaf from your tree.
3. The color Green.
4. Some kind of swirl or vine.
I have the thanks, leaves, green and a swirl! Guess that qualifies! I even finished the inside! If I wasn't so lazy I would go take a picture of it and show it to you...hehehe!
Have you checked out the sale going on at Joan's Gardens?

This card was totally inspired by Olga's (with the secret) card yesterday. I totally was in complete awww when I saw her card! Amazingly beautiful! I changed mine up a bit! I used white dp instead of embossing and didn't have any of that gorgeous lace Olga used. I don't have any Heartfelt stamps YET, so I used a new one form the holiday mini. This beautiful image is called Christmas Postcard. It's a wonderful image with so many possibilities. I embossed mine in gold, but it could also be colored and look amazing. My poinsettias are from A Year of Flowers. They are always my "go to " poinsettias! I am entering this in Stampin Sisters in Christ challenge.... just like my friend Olga (with the secret) did! Have yourself a wonderful day!
